Easter Pictures and More

We had a pretty relaxing weekend. It was sooo windy all weekend so I ended up only having one photo session! Which was nice because next weekend is absolutely insane. So we decided to try to get some cute pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. I didn't want to do it before Easter because I didn't want Sawyer to get her dress dirty.

like I said, the wind....

Saturday Lauren came over and we pulled out the pool for the kids to play. They wanted to go down the slide over, and over and over. I thought they were going to make Lauren go into labor helping them!

I love this picture. Sawyer loves to listen to my headphones. She will put them to her ear, then yours, then hers again.
Here they are behind the curtain with Cora and Claire today playing. Sawyer has started climbing a bunch lately. Today Claire taught her how to climb into the rocker all on her own! Soon they will be climbing on the tables and bookshelves and who knows what else!

Day 10 & Our New Pool

This backyard project is taking forever! Especially since I have been so busy with work and have not been working outside at all. Today I took a break from the computer and worked on tilling and evening the dirt. The entire back strip with the trees in it was much higher than where the bricks were. So I had to dig out that entire strip and use that dirt to even it out. And then I used a 4 pronged hoe thing to break up all of the hard dirt. It was hard work! I did pump before I worked outside and by the time I was done my muscles were very shaky. The next thing we need to do is find someone with a truck and trailer so that we can buy the sod and get it to the house.

The kids have been very fussy the past few days. I finally weaned them on Wednesday and there have been a lot of fits. It has not been fun. Also, Sawyer is cutting 5 teeth right now (2 molars and 3 front teeth) and Mason is getting his fourth molar. So that just adds to it! Sawyer has started biting Mason the past few days and I am hoping it is just cause she is teething. She tries to bite him anytime she gets mad at him!
Wednesday it was almost 100 here so I decided to go to Wal-Mart and buy one of those plastic pools for this summer (after realizing that our blow up pool from last summer was way too small). I knew it wouldn't fit in the car so I called my inlaws to see if they could bring the truck to take it to the house. Kim was out of town though so Chrys brought the van. We thought it would fit in there, but it was not even close! So as we were standing there trying to think of people we knew with a truck, a lady loading one in hers offered to drive it to the house for us! I couldn't belive how nice they were! Complete strangers! And even more random it turns out that she is pregnant with b/g twins.

They loved playing in the pool. Unfortunatly rain is in the forecast for the next 8 days though.

Busy Weekend

Friday the babies had their 15 month check up. Dr. Wiley said that they looked great and they are still growing right along their growth curve (and a little above). They had both lost a little weight from having stomach bugs and being sick though. Mason weighed 21.5 and Sawyer weighed 19.11. After nap time on Friday we went up to ACU and visited Lauren. They ran around one of the trail heads outside for a while. Then we went over to the Groves for dinner. It was so much fun to let all of the kids play and get to visit with good friends. Here are some pictures...

Saturday -We went to Taylor's birthday party in the morning at the jump around. We haven't ever taken the kids there so it was fun to see what they had. They had fun, but I think they will like it more the older they get. Then we took the to Papa and Mimi's cause Eric had to work the mall and I had a senior session. While we worked the kids went to a softball game and hung out with Kim and Chrys.

Sunday - we went to church in the morning and then Eric had to work some in the afternoon. I had some family sessions at 5, so the kids went to Papa and Mimi's small group. I took pictures of 5 families last night and now have so much work to do! And I have another session tonight! Hopefully I will catch up at some point. Check out the photo blog for lots of new posts this week!

Backyard Update

We hired someone from church to put up the fence. John Isom came out and put it up over the past 2 days. They were so quick. He was here for less than an hour today and got the whole thing done. If anyone in Abilene needs fence work done, I highly recommend him! It looks great , so now we just need to buy some sod and lay it out. I know it will be a while before we can put out toys and play on it, but we are getting close to being done.

And what's a post without a picture of the kids?

Easter Sunday

We have had a fun Easter weekend! I didn't think that the kids would hunt for Easter eggs as well as they did. But they really enjoyed it. They ran around and picked them up and put them in the baskets. We ended up having 2 Easter egg hunts since they enjoyed it so much. We went out to Eric's grandfather's house after church and hunted Easter eggs. Then they hunted Easter eggs again after nap time.

My Best Friend's Having a Baby!

Lauren's baby shower was yesterday! It was lots of fun and she got a ton of great stuff. She is due in a month (I can't believe it!). I can't wait until Will gets here. It will be fun to see how Mason and Sawyer react to having him around. Here are a few pictures from the shower -

The presents and the diaper bag that I got Lauren! I found it online and just loved it.

Today we went out to lunch with Lauren's parents cause they are still here from the shower and had to get a few pictures.

Sawyer has been very unsure of Lauren's belly lately. She used to pick up her shirt to see her tummy, but now she just stares at it! It's so cute!I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend! I can't wait to take the kids Easter egg hunting. I also have 2 shoots, and Aunt Gaffy is coming to visit, so it will be a fun packed weekend.
