Embrace the Camera

We had a play date at the zoo yesterday and my friend was so sweet to take a picture of me with the kids.

A little bit of what we have been doing lately...

Lots and lots swimming like always. Sometimes twice a day. Mason has been doing lots of toe touches lately.

Mason also gets lots of time outs. For jumping on sissy, pushing sissy, bouncing on the diving board... he just gets so excited and can't help himself.

This is the look Sawyer gives strangers, makes when she doesn't know what is going on, or just her "you're an idiot" look.

Does anyone else want to join next week?

Mason and Sawyer are two and a half today! They are so much fun and such a mess. They are so cute and say the funniest things. They are so stubborn and independent. They are testing every limit we set and learning so many things every day.

Here are a few things that I can remember right now:

Mason has been saying, "no no daddy mommy time out ok!" then when i ask him why he says cause you put your foot in the potty.

Sawyer says constantly, "no my do it." Which means no I want to do it myself.

I went to the bathroom and the kids were in there. When I got up Sawyer went over and looked in the potty and said, "good job mommy!"

Mason has been calling his poop "toot." After he goes he says, I toot mommy! and after he flushes, he says, where toot go mommy? Or he will look at the potty and say, "look at Sawyer's toot mommy!" They are very proud of themselves and like everyone to look at their potty right now.

Sawyer will stand at the sink and get my tooth brush and stand there with it in her mouth making a buzzing noise.

Sawyer has been watching her brother too much and sometimes tries to stand/squat over the frog potty and pee.

"Mommy where sun go?" I tell him it's behind the clouds and he says "I need to go find it!"

They have been asking me what each animals eats. Mason will say, "Mommy, what shark eats, mommy what shamu eats?"

Sawyer climbed into her car seat and completely snapped herself in yesterday! Yes!

Boo Boo

Guess who stuck her tooth through her lip tonight? Don't let her goofy smile fool you. It looks a lot worse on the inside and she was very upset when it happened!

Cousin Carrot

Eric's Aunt and Uncle have been in town all week and the kids have loved playing with their cousin Garrett (or carrot as Mason says). He has been asking to swim with Carrott every day!

Garrett has been trying to teach Mason how to dive and he is getting much better. He finally went head first into the water today. But that is why he has his hands on his head :)

My mom got Sawyer this water baby when we were visiting and baby Ariel has not left Sawyer's hands when she is in the pool!

Garrett is so sweet with the kids and loves to teach them things and read to them!

Kingsville

The kids and I spent the last week visiting my parents. We had a fun trip despite all of the crazy rain. I am very ready for some nice sunny weather.

On the way day my parents met us in San Antonio to go to Sea World. The kids talked about feeding the dolphins and seeing baby Shamu ALL week. So much that we decided to go again on the way home!

Wednesday we went to the beach at Padre Island. We went to the same beach we went to last year, and it was so nasty this year! There was a ton of seaweed in the water and on the shore. Sawyer did not like all of the floating seaweed hitting her legs at all. A little but after we got there it started raining, but it quickly passed and we had lots of time to play. Mason loved jumping the waves with grandad.

We even got to have a play-date while we were there with one of my friends from church. We have known each other our whole lives! It was so much fun to see Nicole and meet Evelyn.
