Tonight I tried to take pictures of the kids. You know some good ones, with my good camera that aren't taken at the house, with nice clothes on. I don't know what I was thinking!
After dinner I cleaned them up and got them dressed, hair fixed and shoes on. I went out and loaded them in the car and it starts to sprinkle as we pull out of the drive way. I head towards Jacob's Dream and the rain gets a little harder. The wind starts blowing like crazy. So I decided that we would go down to Sonic and get a drink, try to wait it out. I get my drink and start to pull out and Mason says, "I need to go potty." Ah! I tell him to wait, we will be there in 2 minutes. I'm thinking why didn't I put them in pull-ups. Stupid. The rain is letting up and stops by the time we get back to Jacob's Dream. So I run to get Mason out to take him to the back to go potty and he is soaked. And of coarse I don't have cute extra shorts in the car, I have crazy camos. Awesome. But we are already dressed up past bedtime, so I figure I will try for closeups. I did get a couple of cute ones, but they weren't very cooperative. I have to jump up and down, literally, to get their attention. Then 5 minutes in Sawyer stands up, "I have to go potty." I tell her to wait just a minute and she starts to pee right there. Well I think that's it for the shoot....
At least we got some cute pictures, so I guess the wet clothes and carseat were worth it!

Dive Like a Dolphin!
We have been spending all of our time at the pool lately. Pool play dates, pool all the time rain or shine.... we have 2 little fish. They love it and throw the biggest fits when we make them get out. Let me tell you how much fun it is when I am by myself. They love jumping in, off the side or diving board, anything. Eric went swimming with us on Friday and Saturday, and Mason wanted to do everything that Daddy did. Eric dove off the side and so Mason laid down on his belly and slid of the side head first. Eric went off the diving board backwards and Mason got up there and tried to go off backwards. Eric jumped off the diving board over the kids and Mason jumped on Sawyers head. Eric dove off the diving board and Mason tried to dive but did belly flops instead! You get the idea... Mason also counts to ten almost every time he jumps off and goes on 10. But this weekend he started say "1,2,6,7,8,9,10 dive!" And when we came up out of the water he would say, "I dive like a dolphin! I dive like a shark! I Shamu!"
Oh and here are some pictures of the girly girl putting on her makeup :)
Here is a video of Mason's belly flop-
We had some friends in town this weekend, and the kids had so much fun swimming and eating watermelon.

embrace the camera
My friend Kristin has been doing embrace the camera thursdays for a few weeks now.
I have been saying that I would join in, and now I finally am.
Want to read all about the idea? Click here to read emily's blog, but here is a little excerpt:
do you have pictures of yourself, with your little people?
in this day and age of the "momarazzi", many of us are always behind the lens...rather in front of it.
some of you feel much more comfy behind the lens, and i get that.
look, you think i want pictures of myself in the same velour jogging suit for the 3rd day in a row {i slept in that jogging suit each night too---i know, gross, right?}
well, i don't really want those pictures...but my kids do---or, at least they will one day.
sadly, i don't have a lot of pictures with me and my mom from when i was younger.
i am off to change this for my kids.
i want them to have an abundance of pictures...to remind them of these days that we spent at home together.
the days may seem to drag...but honestly, the years fly.

Mason couldn't be bothered to stop and take a picture today, he was too busy reading his animal book and talking about Shamu. So here is a pic of me and Sawyer.

We just got back from taking the kids to Sea World for the first time! They had so much fun and loved it! We went with some good friends of ours (the Groves) who have taken their kids a lot, so they kinda took us around to everything. Eric and I hadn't been since we were kids, so it was almost like our first time too. Jason's brother and sister met us there for the first day, so it was nice to have extra help with all the kids!
Most of the group when we first went in (minus Jocelyn and Jacob)-
The first show we saw was Shamu. I think the kids liked this one best. Maybe because it was first, but after the show Mason kept saying I need to see Shamu. Now the character, not so much. I headed over to take their picture with Shamu and when Mason saw him he started screaming and running the other direction!! He was terrified of him for some reason.
We took the kids on their first "rollercoaster" - the log ride. Mason had a huge smile on his face and giggled the whole time. He threw a fit when it was over and kept saying "ride boat again." Sawyer did not like it at all and wanted to get off, until we got off then she kept saying ride again. Silly girl. We rode it again the second day though and she did fine.
Day 2 was fun too, but I think everyone was a little worn. We watched the dolphin and sea lion show, which were both good.

This post is dedicated to Baby Molly. Sawyer got Baby Molly as a Christmas present this past Christmas. Baby Molly (pronounced either baby wally or baby money) goes everywhere with Sawyer. She is very into pretending right now and it is so cute!
Sawyer starts off the day getting ready in the morning with Baby Molly.
Sawyer walks Baby Molly around the house,
She takes Baby Molly on car trips.
And takes her to the grocery store.
Sawyer takes Baby Molly to go potty with her.
Or takes Baby Molly to go potty when she needs to.
She makes sure to wipe her after,
Give her a M&M for going potty,
And flush that wipe!
Sawyer sets Baby Molly's swing up so she can watch tv with her too,
And gives he lots of hugs!
Then at the end of a long day Sawyer snuggles up with Baby Molly to go night night.
