Backyard Update

We hired someone from church to put up the fence. John Isom came out and put it up over the past 2 days. They were so quick. He was here for less than an hour today and got the whole thing done. If anyone in Abilene needs fence work done, I highly recommend him! It looks great , so now we just need to buy some sod and lay it out. I know it will be a while before we can put out toys and play on it, but we are getting close to being done.

And what's a post without a picture of the kids?

Easter Sunday

We have had a fun Easter weekend! I didn't think that the kids would hunt for Easter eggs as well as they did. But they really enjoyed it. They ran around and picked them up and put them in the baskets. We ended up having 2 Easter egg hunts since they enjoyed it so much. We went out to Eric's grandfather's house after church and hunted Easter eggs. Then they hunted Easter eggs again after nap time.

My Best Friend's Having a Baby!

Lauren's baby shower was yesterday! It was lots of fun and she got a ton of great stuff. She is due in a month (I can't believe it!). I can't wait until Will gets here. It will be fun to see how Mason and Sawyer react to having him around. Here are a few pictures from the shower -

Hostesses -
The presents and the diaper bag that I got Lauren! I found it online and just loved it.

Today we went out to lunch with Lauren's parents cause they are still here from the shower and had to get a few pictures.

Sawyer has been very unsure of Lauren's belly lately. She used to pick up her shirt to see her tummy, but now she just stares at it! It's so cute!I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend! I can't wait to take the kids Easter egg hunting. I also have 2 shoots, and Aunt Gaffy is coming to visit, so it will be a fun packed weekend.

Cutest Kids Ever & Day 8

Warning - this is a very long picture post!!

I have been taking lots of Easter pictures lately for work and taking pictures of other peoples kids always makes me want to take some of mine. So we have had some photo shoots the last few evenings.

Here are some pictures of what we have been doing lately -

Sawyer, Mason & Claire

Claire & Sawyer

We went over to the Groves today to hang out and play. Since it was so hot they were outside in the backyard. Mason and Sawyer found the pool. After a few minutes, Mason decided he wanted to just climb in. So we just took their clothes off and let them have it.

Day 8:
Today I dug out all of the random big rocks that were in the yard and hauled out more of the brush that I had trimmed. I filled 2 dumpsters and got plenty of scratches. The fence should be built this week and then we can plant the grass!!

Day 7

The babies both have ear infections. They have been so fussy lately and now we know why. Mason had a pretty high fever most of the day Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We took them into the doctor Friday morning. He has finally started feeling better and eating some today.

I haven't updated on what they are doing in a while so here is a little bit of what they are doing right now:
They run everywhere and are starting to reach more and get into more. They both love to dance when music comes on. Sawyer squeaks like a mouse all of the time right now. She also gives really sweet kisses. Mason gives sweet hugs. Their newest word is turtle. Mason started saying it first but now Sawyer does too. Sawyer calls Mason bubby. So sweet. They are constantly saying momma and dadda and lots of jibberish. They both scream and make lots of noise!

Day 7:
I finished digging out the bricks on Friday! Yay! I also leveled out the ground where the fence will be.
I am super busy with work right now though so it may be a little while before I get any more done.

Day 5 & 6

Day 5:
I only had 30 minutes to work, so I dug up the remainder of the bricks that were to the left of the tree trunk and hauled out half of the brush to the trash that I trimmed on the first day.
Day 6:
I started off thinking that I would be able to finish the rest of the bricks today, but had a little surprise. I thought that the bricks ended where the dirt started at the back, but that was not the case. I ended up having to dig the bricks out from under a ton of dirt and roots. And this was one of my weights days at the gym, so my muscles were already pretty tired. Plus it is getting harder to get the bricks out because the heaviness of them weighs down the front wheel of the wheel barrow and gets it stuck in the sand. So it is going to take one more day.

There are bricks underneath all of this -
what I have left -
Tomorrow I am going to get the rest of the bricks out and start leveling the ground for the fence. Saturday Eric is going to go buy the materials!
