Our First Visit to Hendrick

Yesterday was an interesting day. I went to my doctor appointment with Tadvick and I started having contractions while I was there. So he sent us over to labor and delivery to see if he could stop the contractions. They put me on an IV with fluid and eventually got the contractions to stop. So he let me go home and has put me on bed rest. This was so much sooner than I thought I would have to go on bed rest if I ended up on it at all. So I am so glad that the babies are ok for now and won't be born anytime real soon, but I am really not excited that I have to be on bed rest. Can anyone recommend a good book?

Bummer...but I am so glad that you are able to hold on to them a little longer. I don't do much reading, but you should rent all your favorite chic-flicks! Hang in there:)

Oh Hannah! I wish I could recommend a book to you...but I think you had read everything written! Ha. The most important thing right now is to take care of yourself and those little babies!!! Hang in there friend!

Here are a couple posts you might check out for books. My sister is an avid reader!

I haven't read them yet, but I heard that The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne and Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller are both really good. Call me if you need anything or just want some company! Love ya! :D

I think you should knit--you could have 2 or 3 blankets done in that time! I'm so sorry you are on bed rest...I'll keep thinking of interesting/unusual activities for you!

Sorry to hear about your hospital visit. I am SO glad that Mason & Sawyer are snug in your belly still. Bed rest is the best thing for those babies, so just stay put!

I made a list of stuff to do in case I had bed rest. Here are some of my ideas:

* Sudoku can occupy my time for hours and hours.
* Puzzles
* Get ahead on some thank you notes or birth announcements stuff
* If you have limited bed rest, you could cook up some meals and freeze them for later.
* Memoirs of a Geisha is a great book
* Computer stuff- Text Twist or other fun games, digital scrapbook stuff
* Rent a season of some show you like (Grey's, Lost, 24, Friends, etc.)
* knit or crochet
* write encouragement/prayer notes to people

Oh Hannah...
I am so glad they were able to keep those little ones nice and safe inside.
I am reading a jillion books right now on how to be a mom and take care of twins, but I am sure you have read those.
I like Kara's idea about renting tv series. Hey...Lost starts soon, too.

I am sorry you had to go on bedrest, but I am so glad that they are inside your tummy and not out. Keep them in as long as you can. I love the list from Kara about things to do while you are on bedrest. I will be praying for your sweet baby girl and little boy. I am reading a bunch of books on twins after they are here, those would be great to occupy a little time.
