Yummy Sweet Potatoes

The babies had their first bites of baby food yesterday! They did really well with it too. Mason opened his mouth real big for the first bite. Sawyer made worried looks at first, but by the end was opening her mouth for bites. I bought some baby food cook books and am going to try to make most of their baby food. We will see how long that lasts though! It is supposed to be healthier and cheaper. And it's really not hard, just a little more time consuming.

Here are a few pictures of them playing from the past week:

Way to go Hannah! I never thought of making baby food from scratch...course I don't have a baby yet so that's probably why. :)

making the food is much, much cheaper. i would try to pick one night a week to puree (sp?) a bunch of different foods that would last me through the week. that way, all the mess would be at once, but i would be stocked for a while! that's my only piece of advice...
just kidding, one more thing that i just thought of. i thought that apple sauce was too hard to make, so i would just buy the big jars of apple sauce in the canned fruit aisle. it is much cheaper than baby food apple sauce, and it lasts much longer. (and they do make some with no sugar/cinnamon added)
