we have been spending a lot of time outside since the weather has been so nice. well until we had three over 100 days in a row. in april.
 

last weekend the kids camped at the state park and got new bicycles!

i love finding new recipes and pinterest has been great for that. i have made a couple of things that were not good at all, a lot that were ok and some stuff that we have loved. here are some of the loves.

coconut chicken with apricot sauce. i changed the sauce for us since we don't like dijon. i used apricot preserves, soy sauce, minced garlic and salt & pepper.

crockpot bbq chicken with these cheddar biscuits.

baked chicken flautas.

chicken and cheese lasagna roll-ups. i have made these with chicken and ground beef. i also cut the feta and added mozzarella.

and the best part...

oreos.

pecan pie bars.

smores cookie bars.


and here are a couple i want to try... cashew chicken, korean beef, cilantro lime chicken, snickers cake, boston cream cupcakes and coconut cream pie bars.

what are your favorite recipes you have found on pinterest?

we made it through our first week on our own! it really wasn't so bad. i have to plan ahead a little more and i'm not running as many errands, but it wasn't so bad. now the night before school i get their clothes out and make their lunch so that the morning isn't rushed. and i only go to the grocery store while the kids are at school. not sure when i will be brave enough to go with all three.

i finished the kids lego table! i just refinished an old table and got a building plate that fit it.

this weekend was the mother/son picnic at church, so i took mason to that, sawyer went on a date with mimi and logan hung out with daddy!

then on sunday sawyer, logan and i met our friends for alice in wonderland. i think sawyer's favorite part was the popcorn!

easter weekend

both sets of grandparents were in town for easter weekend and we spent lots of time playing and doing fun things! we had an easter egg snack hunt.

we painted egg shaped waffles.

easter sunday we went to church, had a wonderful lunch and hunted easter eggs. everyone took a nap and then we spent the rest of the day playing outside. it was a great weekend!

instagram update

i had a long list of things i wanted to do with the kids before logan came. easter things and fun things. since logan came early we got about half of them done and have been doing the others since. before logan we moved sawyers bed into masons room and made a big kid room.

before logan the played in the bath with glowing baloons, drank bunny colored milk, had lots of fun playdates, made cookies, enjoyed frozen treats, and went to chuck e cheese.

before logan we dyed easter eggs.

after logan we made jello jigglers, had sleepovers, fed ducks, played mini-golf, spent time with friends, have spent a lot of time playing outside,

this week they also had an easter egg hunt at school.



and as for logan, she sleeps and eats and makes the most noise any baby ever has made :)
