fort worth zoo

today we drove to fort worth to meet the girls from the twin momma trip at the zoo. we missed britni, but everyone else was able to go. plus kristi and melissa and ashley. we were a zoo ourselves with our 15 kids 2 and under(6 sets of twins). frequent potty breaks, fits of exhaustion, long lines, getting lost from the group... pure chaotic fun. i just wish we all lived closer so we could hang out more often!

wednesday's are our busy days. we have kindermusik, then we go to storytime at the library, and then head to the gym for combat. busy, but fun.

we usually meet zoe and elijah at storytime.

pumpkin patch

when my parents were here we took the kids out to the pumpkin patch for some pictures. they were slightly more cooperative than last year, but man they still make ya work for it.

nightmare

we have not been getting near as much sleep lately around here. sawyer started having nightmares this past weekend. the first night she woke up around 3 am screaming her head off. i went in there to see what was wrong and she said, "charlie is in my bed and he is going to get me. mommy there are doggies in my bed." charlie was our dog until a couple of months ago and sawyer has been afraid of dogs her entire life. i have tried all kids of things to show her they aren't scary and get her used to them, but nothing has worked. so after she told me that i told her everything was fine and tried to put her back in her bed but she was wrapped around me scared. she said, "i want to go to mommy and daddy's bed. i was like, no way. not doing that. i tried laying in her bed with her. i tried sitting in the chair in there with her. nothing worked. i was exhausted. so since eric was out of town, i gave up and took her in bed with me. she has woken up screaming 4 out of 6 nights now. i bought a night light and a light bed buddy. i have tried explaining to her that there is nothing in her bed, her babies will protect her, explaining that she cannot sleep in our bed. but it's not really working and i don't really know what to do. i would let her cry it out but then she wakes mason up. twice it has been at 6 am she has woken up screaming. the first time she woke mason up and they wouldn't go back to sleep. that was a cranky day! the first time i told her that she couldn't sleep in our bed anymore we went in and found her in the chair sleeping. we put her back in her bed, but she was right back in the chair when i got up in the morning. i asked her why she wasn't in her bed and it was the same thing, "there are dogies in my bed and they are going to get me."



a funny story, sunday we were watching football and sawyer said, "mommy, mommy the football players are in timeout." they had called a timeout :)

acu homecoming

last weekend was acu's homecoming. i love that we still live in abilene and our friends come back to visit. my parents came into town, along with lauren and robin. the kids loved the carnival and the parade this year. they are finally old enough to really get into it.

the first thing mason said when we walked up to the carnival was "look mommy a horse. i want to ride it!"



and shockingly enough sawyer enjoyed it as well.














their favorite part of the parade was the fire truck and willy the wildcat.

fall pictures

i am doing fall mini sessions for my business and wanted some pictures to use to promote them. and i really wanted some cute pictures of the kids in their cute fall outfits of coarse. so we bribed them with a marshmellow pumpkin and watching lilo and stitch afterwards. and if you are wondering where sawyer's fabulous dress is from, it is from zozobugbaby. check it out. i love love love julie's amazing clothes.

here we are on a normal day. watching lilo and stitch as a reward for no accidents and smiling for pictures (those are coming soon). the laundry is all over the couch. i am working on the pictures we just took and responding to emails (see the calendar). oh and there's my book (the girl who kicked the hornet's nest) that i wish i had all day to sit around and read. and mason who has his tv face on. i don't let them watch very often but that kid could watch tv all day and be very happy. i love it when he sits with his hands behind his head like that. and i love it when he is cuddly. which is only when he is asleep or watching tv.
