Saturday morning Chrys came over and we walked down to the homecoming parade. Last year the kids slept through it. But this year they enjoyed watching it!

This past weekend was ACU's homecoming. I had so much fun going to the events instead of working them! I was a little crazy though because I had a wedding Saturday and a shoot Sunday. Friday we took the kids to homecoming carnival. We met the Groves at their house and walked down together. There were tons of bouncy houses, which the kids don't really like too well yet. But Mason went in one with Emma's help and went down the slide and all. I knew they would love the carnival though because they always have a petting zoo. Mason ran straight up to the animals and started petting them. It Sawyer a while but she finally warmed up to them towards the end. We stayed at petting zoo for most of our time there. The kids just enjoyed picking up the food for the animals almost as much petting them.

This week it was nice to be home and nice to get back into our routine. There were a couple of cold fronts this week which ruined my photo schedule. I had to reschedule almost every shoot due to rain/it was so cloudy it was dark. It has been so frustrating. I love the cold though. Here is a little bit of what we have been doing-
We had a movie night with the kids and watched Monsters vs Aliens. They did better than I thought and paid attention through a lot of it.

While we were watching Mason went and got some sheets and a boppy cover out of a drawer in their room and laid on them. So sweet.

I tried to get a picture of them today in their cute outfits and this was how it went-

Chrys hosted a shower for Kristin this weekend. So Sawyer and I went to the shower while Mason hung out at the house with Daddy and Papa. She got to play with another little girl that is absolutely adorable and one a week older than her. Adelaide was so sweet, you can see her giving Sawyer a hug below.

Lauren and I decided when she moved that we should go on a road trip to visit our moms! So this last week we drove all over Texas. On Sunday I left Abilene, drove to Waco to pick her up and we continued on to her moms house in Georgetown. We stayed 3 nights in Georgetown and 3 nights in Kingsville. The trip was a little crazy at times, but a whole lot of fun. The best part of the driving was that my inlaws let us take their mini van!!! It was so awesome. The kids did great on the drives because they just watched the dvd player the whole time. You can tell they hardly ever watch tv because they are glued to it the entire time it is on. The van also has so much room. I might have to get one the next time we get a new car.
My kids both got a stomach bug while we were on the trip though. Mason threw up all evening Wednesday and Sawyer did all night Friday. I didn't get much sleep Friday night. They were also really fussy towards the end of the trip since they didn't feel good. William hasn't shown signs of picking up the bug yet though. One of our craziest times was lunch the second to last day. We stopped in San Antonio to eat on our way to Georgetown. By the time we left there were half eaten crayons, torn up napkins and child menus, food pieces everywhere, and a spilled glass of water. Our table looked crazy. The kids had been cooped up in the car and did not want to sit still to eat. We did lots of fun stuff though. We watched the entire season 5 of The Office, talked and laughed a ton, had photo shoots of the kids, ate a lot of great food, and did a bit of shopping. Here are the pictures in no particular order.

I think fall is my new favorite season! The cool weather, football games and so many things to do!! The fair, the balloon festival, the homecoming parade and carnival, Halloween. I love it. This past weekend was the balloon festival. We planned on going Saturday night, but it didn't happen. The kids were exhausted and would not have enjoyed it at all. But Chrys and I took them on Saturday morning to jump. Mason loved it, but Sawyer would not go in it without me. She was not a fan.
