Update

This past weekend I loaded up the babies and drove to Austin for a photography workshop. Last week I got an email from a photographer friend about this awesome workshop. So I called my parents to see if they would meet me there so that they could watch the babies while I went. They sad yes and so we made a weekend of it. The I Shoot People Tour was great. I got a lot of new ideas for my business and learned some new things. It was a lot of fun and it got me really excited about my business. I am going to start offering some new products and start taking a new approach to some things.

Eric got a new position at work this week. He is the new Training Officer! Which means that he will be working out at the academy training the new officers, and his hours will be 8-5!! He has never had weekends off since we have been married. He has been working nights for the past 7 years. I am so excited!! It's going to be very different, but so much fun to have him home every night!

And now for the babies... They are very into feet and spitting right now. The first thing they do when they lay down is grab their feet. Mason is starting to chew on everything and drool even more than usual. I think he will be getting a tooth soon. Sawyer is getting so strong. She can stand on her own for a long time if she is leaning on something.

5 Months Old!

The babies turned 5 months old yesterday! I can't believe how fast it goes by. Things are starting to get easier. They are sleeping better a lot of the time and starting to go longer between feedings. They are getting stronger and learning to do new things all the time.

Mason-
  • rolls over both ways
  • laughs/giggles a bunch
  • is very tickilish
  • sucks on his thumb
  • puts everything in his mouth
  • always pulls on the ring on the playmat
  • still drools constantly

Sawyer
  • rolls over both ways
  • likes to carry on conversations
  • needs a haircut! Her hair in her eyes and over her ears
  • spins circles on the playmat when upset
  • still won't take a bottle
  • spits when she talks

Happy Father's Day

Eric has been such a great dad. He took care of me and spoiled me while I was pregnant, and now he takes care of and spoils all three of us. I don't know what I would have done without him the first few months. I wouldn't have gotten any sleep for sure. He has bee so helpful and more than pulls his weight. The babies love him so much and their faces light up when they see him!

More Swimming

The other day we got the babies out in the pool in their floaties. Mason loved kicking around, but Sawyer wasn't a big fan. I can't wait until next summer when they enjoy getting in and playing in the water!

Summer Fun

Today we took the babies swimming for the first time. They did great! They cried a little at first, but I think it was because the water is still pretty cold. After they got used to it they were great.

Biker Babes

I am starting to get a little backed up with work now. I had another wedding this past Saturday and I have weddings the next 3 out of 4 weekends plus other shoots during the week! Lots of pictures to edit and albums to design.

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we went to Austin. I had bridals on Thursday and a wedding on Saturday. So we all went and stayed in a hotel. The babies also made their first trip to Hula Hut! The wedding was at this beautiful villa in the hills. It was so nice to get to take pictures somewhere new and not in Abilene.

All Work and No Sleep

There hasn't really been much to post about lately. Nothing too exciting has been happening. We have been feeding babies, playing with babies, working, and for some reason not sleeping much at night. Sawer has gone back to her newborn schedule it seems and is waking up way too often to get much sleep. She will sleep for 4 hours and then in 2-3 hour increments after that. Mason is still only waking up once a night though so they are on completely different schedules. This = no sleep for me.

The new sleep routine is killing me and we are starting our very busy time of the year for my photography business. I have weddings every weekend for a while and shoots during the week. Busy, busy, busy! Oh and I have to take pictures of the babies at least once a day :) I know I'm biased, but I think they are the cutest babies ever. Here are my favorite pictures of each of them from this week.

4 Months and First Mother's Day

The babies are 4 months old today! I feel like their first year is going by so fast. They are still itty bitty for their age and are still in 0-3 month clothes.
Sunday was my first Mother's Day. Sometimes I still can't believe that we have these babies. It just took so long to have them. I love being a mother though and it was all completely worth it. Sunday we went and ate at Johnny Carinos and the babies didn't cry the whole time. Eric got me a new MacBook Pro for by photo business for Mother's Day. My old one is over 5 years old and was working on dying. The new one is so fast and amazing! I love Mac's.

Last night we gave the babies cereal for the first time. They didn't do too bad at all. I don't think much of it got in their mouth though. I think most of it ended up on their face and tummy!

Mini Me's

Everyone is always telling us that the babies look just like us. Here are pictures of us when we were babies with a picture of the twins. It is kind of scary how close they are!
