wee ball - first game

we decided to sign mason up for wee ball (t ball for 2-3 year olds) this year. he loves to play and thought he would enjoy it. we also thought it would be good to put mason and sawyer in something of their own that they would enjoy. sawyer is going to do dance this summer.

so mason had his first game this sunday. it was in the forties and during nap time, so it wasn't the best start to the season! but it was still fun. we are looking forward to sunny morning games for the rest of the season though!

bugs

this week was all about bugs. eww. not my favorite topic, but they had a lot of fun.

i found a bunch of fun squishy bugs in the dollar isle at target.


we went on a bug hunt.


















mimi found some bugs and brought them to us to look at.

we watched a bug's life.

we read a lot of fun bug books.

we went to the zoo and the kids got to touch a snake!

we painted with worms.










and we made and ate dirt. yum!

we found a bug while making dirt. and now every time we are outside and mason finds anything i get notified. do you know how many ants are in our backyard?? because i do.

play time

i LOVE listening to the kids play together. i always have but the older they get the funnier it is. i love listening to their imaginations and the way they interact with each other. sawyer always bosses mason around. and they never stop talking. they really play great together.

fish

this weeks theme was fish.

we made a fun aquarium that had fish in it with brianna. brianna did all the work though. :)

we ate fish sticks. well the kids did.

we read lots of fish books.

we made fish bowls.










we watched fish movies: finding nemo and the little mermaid.

we got some pet goldfish that they named jake and lily.







and lastly we went fishing. no fish were caught but fun was had. thank you darrell and bessie for letting us use your backyard.
