imagination....

lately the kids imaginations have gone wild. everyday they take all of their blankets and babies out of their beds and make a big pile of them. they pile them in one bed, in a clothes basket or just on the floor. they say that they are in a boat, a choo choo train, a cave, a car, a sand castle, etc. it is adorable. but messy :)

sea world

we went to austin this weekend to visit papa and got to take the kids to sea world again. we really never imagine how enamored they would be with shamu and well, all of it. mason's favorite is of coarse the shamu show.

and he sure did pee on eric's lap a few minutes into the show. then 10 minutes later he peed again. at least he was standing next to eric and wasn't sitting on him this time. but it was a lot. there was a river going down three or four flights of stairs.

west texas fair

well we got back in town in time for the fair. which was great because we ate dinner out there. we will be getting pretty creative when it comes to meals until tuesday. when we got back in town tuesday night i went to the grocery store and then found out when i was putting away my groceries that our fridge was not working. everything in the freezer was completely defrosted. i threw away five full bags of food. awesome right? so to make things even better the space that our fridge is in is very small and not many out there will fit in it. so we finally found one and they said that they could deliver it tuesday or we could pick in up in ten days. lovely. anyway enough complaining.

the kids definitely liked it better this year. they both wanted to ride the merry go around over and over. i told them we were out of tickets so they started asking for more tickets. here are the pictures from the fair.

what the kids were doing.

while i was off having my girls weekend and eric was working the kids spent the weekend in kingsville with my parents. on wednesday the kids and i drove down to san antonio to meet my parents. our plan had been to spend a day or two at sea world until we found out it closes during the week when school starts! sooo we decided to go shopping wednesday and take the kids to the zoo on thursday.

on sunday eric flew down to corpus and i picked him up on my way to kingsville. we spent a couple days down there hanging out then headed back home in time for kindermusik class and the fair!

while we were in kingsville we got to go out to one of my dads research projects to let the kids feed and pet the deer. mason got so excited to pet them and they both enjoyed feeding the fawn the bottle.

when in doubt just wear leggings.

that was the motto of our trip. the first annual twin mama trip that is. it was AH-MAZING. we went to san antonio and stayed on the riverwalk at the hotel contessa. we spent lots of time talking, laughing, shopping, and just relaxing without a schedule! there were five of us that ended up going (out of a group of about 10 that had planned it). we really missed all of the girls who couldn't go and can't wait until they get to go next year!

here are the girls left to right:
liz (18m g/g twins), shelley (3yo b/g twins), amy (2yo g/g twins), britni (2yo g/g twins), and me (2 1/2yo b/g twins).

amy and liz put together some awesome bags for us with all kinds of fun stuff, including a mixed cd for the trip (thanks again guys)!

saturday we all wore our awesome twin mama tshirts and took pictures in front of the alamo. we got tons of comments all day. alot of people asked us how we met. one really fun older woman came up to us and said that she had 22 yo b/g twins and talked to us for a while. another girl asked us if we had quintuplets. we even heard one lady say, "do you think they all really have kids?"

saturday night we got all dressed up and went to see jersey boys at the majestic. it was really good. we were up at the very, very top, but the theater was gorgeous and the singing was great.
