Fun Visitors

We have had a lot of visitors around here lately. The babies got to meet one of their cousins for the first time! Rhonda and Garrett are in town visiting from California! We don't get to see them very often since they live so far away. We have tried to talk them into moving back to Texas multiple times, but they like California. We really want to go visit them sometime soon since I have never been to California!

Last week Rachael and her sister got to come to town for work. The babes loved getting to see Rachael, they really miss seeing her every week. It is going to be really sad when the Office starts up again!!

Last weekend Robin came to town to visit! The babies were only a few weeks old the last time Robin was here, so they have changed quite a bit since then.
Robin also took a quick picture of the four of us while she was here!

Why does she have so much hair?

Get out of here Mason, she wants to take pictures of me.

Double Stroller Contest

Free double stroller....YES please! I was blog surfing today while I was feeding the babies and somehow came across this blog with this awesome contest!

I will post again if we make the final 4 so that everyone can go vote for us!!

Yummy Sweet Potatoes

The babies had their first bites of baby food yesterday! They did really well with it too. Mason opened his mouth real big for the first bite. Sawyer made worried looks at first, but by the end was opening her mouth for bites. I bought some baby food cook books and am going to try to make most of their baby food. We will see how long that lasts though! It is supposed to be healthier and cheaper. And it's really not hard, just a little more time consuming.

Here are a few pictures of them playing from the past week:

Friends

Leslie and Amber have been my life savers since I had the babies. They have answered all of my many questions and they have let me come hang out anytime we want to get out of the house. They have watched my kids so I could meet with clients and let me borrow stuff that I need that their kids have grown out of. I think that I learn something new every time I hang out with them. It's so much fun because their kids are the kids mine will grow up playing with. Todd and Mason will be buds and Sawyer and Claire will be BFF. It is so much fun to watch these kids play together already. I am so blessed to have them in my life!

Happy Half Birthday!

The babies are 6 months old today! I can't believe it. It goes by so fast. I am amazed at how much they have learned and how much they can do now. And I am a little bit sad that they aren't my itty bitty babies anymore. But only a little bit because each phase is so much fun. Their smiles and giggles are absolutely priceless.

Here are few things they are doing right now

Mason-

- can sit up on his own for a long time
- loves his feet
- puts everything in his mouth
- is so tickilish and giggles all the time

Sawyer

- loves to stand (with our help)
- rolls and scoots all over the place
- puts everything in her mouth
- is so curious about everything - she watches everything and stares at
things and just takes it all in

6 Month Check-up

We had our 6 month check up a little early because our doctor is going to be out of town the rest of the month. The babies are growing great and staying on their growing curve. They have both gained more than 2 pounds since their last visit. Mason weighed 14 lbs and was 24 3/4 inches long. Sawyer weighed 12.6 lbs and was 23 7/8 inches long. I am so glad that they are growing like they should be. I know they will be small for their age for a while, but I hope they will be able to catch up eventually.

4th of July Weekend

We have had a fun weekend. This is one of the first 4th of July's that Eric hasn't worked. We cooked out at his parents house and played games. Then the rest of the weekend we hung out, played games and watched movies. My parents have been here this past week visiting too. They have gotten in some good grandkid time and have helped me around the house some. My mom and I got all of the 0-3 month clothes packed away and organized the 6-12 month clothes that we have so that they are ready to go in a few months.
Sawyer has started moving now. Both of the babies get up on their knees and elbows when they are on their bellies, but Sawyer scoots and rolls all over the place. It's so sad, she doesn't stay where I put her anymore.

My mom also built their exersaucer this weekend. It has been sitting in their room with the part everywhere because I can never sit down and do it.
